The series searches for images that evoke the feeling contained in the Russian expression "bright memory": everyday life shaped by nostalgia and division. Through personal photographs, the German photographer, born in the Republic of Moldova in 1999, describes his family's close ties to their former homeland of Transnistria — an internationally unrecognised territory supported by Russia, which declared its independence from the Republic of Moldova in 1990.
